Colour Studies

In trying to understand how the colours would work in one of my characters, I researched some screenshots to figure out how blue can work... I've used screenshots from Avatar,  Guardians of the Galaxy and Mr. Peabody and Sherman (which is more for lighting). Also I studied the concept artist, Michael Kutsche and his awesome blue caterpillar designed for the 2010 Alice in Wonderland movie. And in trying to understand the value and lighting on a child face, I found a photograph by Heidi Harting who specialises in portraits. Finally, below is a form study from Pixar's Luna Boy.
